Mr. K is having a slumber party with his kids and their dogs tonight at his place, so I’m on my own today. I’ve been puttering around and working on creative projects. I thought about visiting Mother but it’s too cold and blustery to venture out. She agrees. She also said her driveway is jacked with snow.
One of my big projects today was a very long overdue google contacts cleanup that I’ve had on the back burner. I use google contacts to store not only human contacts but also all my login and password credentials for banks, work systems, government services, health care, etc. I have around 300 contacts at any given time. I like storing them here because I can easily access at any time from my phone. And no, you cannot hack my life by accessing my contacts. I keep the password info in a special code that only I know. It would be meaningless to a hacker. Once per year, I print out the entire list to paper and archive to my fire safe in case google or my phone go belly-up, and I need to access something. That document has become a tome. A lot of cleanup was needed. I went through today and deleted contacts related to many jobs ago or to systems I no longer use. Why the heck did I have a surveymonkey account anyway? Who knows? I deleted about fifty entries today. I’m feeling lighter. I also reorganized “like” entries into single entries with multiple layers. For example, I have something like eight google profiles online for various reasons. Rather than having eight entries for those, I created one entry called Google Profiles and listed them all there in the notes.
