I popped out of bed at 3. I’ve got so much on my mind. Hiving off the charts! I’m making flashcards and studying the campus map. So much has changed since I attended a century ago. I noticed this morning that the gym with the pool is right behind the Local Bakery building. Wee!
I can’t believe February is over this week. Where has the time gone? I have so much going on and am trying not to panic about it. March is going to be a super busy month. Four hour interview, anyone? Ugh! But also a week of fun in the sun in Florida. Wee! Today’s blizzard aside, I hope I can start walking outside soon. I miss nature. I can feel spring calling to me from a short distance away.
I’m not sure how I missed it, but I discovered 12 Monkeys scifi series on Prime. I don’t know what the hell is going on yet. But I’m enjoying the premise.
Sometimes the algos think I live in Rochester. Sometimes they think I live in Albany. Weird. Is it that hard to figure me out? Or do I live in a dead zone with absolutely no events or news whatsoever?
Mr. K and I went grocery shopping. I think I got a lot for the $80 I spent. And I even bought meat and cheese. Unlike years-gone-by when I’d buy whatever and toss it into the cart without a care in the world, I’m now hunting for sales like a jackal. And I’ve stopped buying a lot of things that I used to always keep on-hand. Nope! I got some ham steaks on sale 2 for $5. I chopped them up and put half cup portions in baggies in the freezer. I pull them out, fry them up, and toss it on a salad or into an omelet. Quick and easy. I did the same thing with a turkey polish sausage.
I had a lazy day. After I finished my Akbar video, I did an hour on the treadmill then had a bubble bath. I took a nice couch nap. I also reorganized my Prime Video my stuff tab. I’m between shows and need to figure out what I’ll be watching next on my treadmill tele. I think I’m gonna focus on movies for a bit.
Also heard on NPR that the feds have erased the environmental regulation that requires cars to auto-turn-off when you stop. I am voting yes for that! **Raging off the charts!** One issue voter. While they are at it, they need to figure out how to make windshield wipers automatically turn off when you turn off the car. I always forget, leave them on, and then slowly damage and destroy them auto starting the car during a blizzard when they are fused with ice and snow. Get on it!
I was too busy scrubbing my bathroom floor to catch the details. But I think on NPR they just said that for every five immigrants that come to the USA, the time the average senior spends in a nursing home declines by one year. Interesting.
I think my “no clothes dryer in 2026” experiment is coming to an end. I’ve now cycled through most of my clothing. Everything is stiff and shapeless from hanging to dry. All of my sweaters have become weird, bally, and stretched out. I look like hell! If I’m not looking my best, I’m not feeling my best. Also, Mr. K flew into a rage this morning because his towel was scratchy and stiff. He has a towel and washcloth OCD that is off-the-charts.
