Cut to me at the club
Friday Fantasy
Have you met my boyfriend Shawn on Nikita?
When you trudge through four foot of snow several times per day, your pants get soaking wet. After I parked my car, I helped a few of the old folks unbury and move their cars. I have one of those extending snow brooms in my car. I don’t fuck around.
After two days of hell-on-earth, they are finally plowing the four feet of snow out of our parking lot. I dug out my car around four o’clock because I have to got to Syracuse tomorrow and didn’t want to do it in the morning. I went over to Mr. K’s for dinner. I’m now back home but sitting in my car on the street waiting. I don’t want to get in their way. I’m not quite sure where they’ll put all the snow. But I’ll wait while they figure it out.
Picture of BigM.
Car was buried. Took a good ten minutes of rolling to get it out.
I am having way too much fun making my Chernobyl video! Tee hee! I am vibrating with creative ideas. So much fun.
Oh! I won another class action lawsuit and got a windfall check (of like $4). Wee! I work around-the-clock to pay my billz!
What? It’s International Puzzle Day! Is Big Fatty aware? I feel like this needs to be on his mark in calendar.
Send HALP! On the bright side, having six feet of snow drifted against my building provides some additional insulation and my heat is thankful.
Ok this is defcon 1. The snow has never been this high. I cannot see the BigM sign anymore.
Mr. K has made me aware that you can buy chicken breasts frozen. Like plain? I knew that you could buy frozen Tyson breaded chicken patties and nuggets and that kind of processed crap. But I did not know that you could buy plain chicken breasts frozen in a bag. That seems so convenient. You could just toss what you need in the oven and bam! Who knew?
My Princess Diana video is now ready for your nibbles! I hope you enjoy it. There are a few consistency issues, but I’m getting better every time I play around.
I tried very hard to get to the Brown Bakery today. I made it like five miles and then had to turn around. There is a foot of snow on the road, and it’s a complete white-out. There’s no way in hell I’d make it there alive before like three o’clock. Let them fire me.
I didn’t have time to post much yesterday because my life is spiraling. When I went to find my car Tuesday morning, it was buried. The snow was up to the bottom of the windows. Getting into it and driving it out of its white sarcophagus, got me covered from head-to-toe and soaked. I moved my car to a semi plowed space – nothing was well plowed – and went back in to change. It then took me two hours to drive to work. I’m still feeling icky and MLB asked me why I was so quiet. I smiled politely and didn’t tell her that I hate everything about the world right now.
My Princess Diana video is coming out great. I’m having so much fun.
I’m annoyed by people online flicking boiling water all over the place outside in the cold air. I mean science is fun. But so are burns and damaged property. Are the engagement metrics really that great? Can’t we go back to the cranky chihuahua with the gothic piano? I miss him. The quarterly Bakery cash sweep that I was working on was off by $433, but I found out why today, and finally got that very large (several thousand lines) entry done. Feeling accomplished.
I suppose I should soon start thinking about working on my taxes. Maybe this weekend? Mr. K will be busy on Saturday, so I’ll have some bouncing around at home alone time. I only had two jobs in 2025 and limited business expenses, so it should be a relatively easy year.
Bugonia was wild. And unexpected. Mr. K hated it. I thought it was an experience. If you wonder how far people can take conspiracy theories, wonder no more.
I’ve slowly been tweaking my Ai prompt mojo to settle on an art style and color palette for my channel and associated animations. It’s bounced around a lot, but I’m feeling more comfortable with it. The image with this post is an example of my current target. Do you like it?
Welp, I have an interview at the Local Bakery next week. Well, kinda. They do things oddly there with a quick zoom pre-screening with a bored, gum-snapping HR intern named Tiffany who knows absolutely nothing about Bakery operations or finance. I am not good at these and my powers to be fun, charming, responsive, and engaging don’t translate well with these. I have run through about five pre-screenings previously for positions which I’ve applied for. I’ve never gotten past this step at the Local Bakery and landed an in-person interview at their offices. Again, I’m not betting the house on this. The opportunity presented itself, and I’m putting it out there for my Guardian Angel to chew on. I wont expend much energy on it until I have more data or information.
It doesn’t look too apocalyptic out. I can still see the BigM sign. But it’s still coming down hard.
To help strengthen my commitment to reading more, I’ve revived a decade dead habit that I used to do religiously. I’m keeping track of my reading at an Amazon list. I’ll share the link with updates and reviews as it grows.
I just finished The Midnight Bookshop by Amanda James. I’m not quite sure how this got onto my stack – not my usual fare – but it was by charming and entertaining.
Next up is The First Witch of Boston by Andrea Catalano. It’s won a slew of awards including best historical fiction. I’ve been eagerly itching for this to hit the top of my stack! Squee! Can’t wait to start that tomorrow morning with my coffee.
