Project

I’m working an a fun new craft project for my etsy store. I’m feeling energized! Chatgpt suggested it. So it must be legit? For one side of the product, I want it to have a plastic coating to protect the art. On the front only, the back will be regular paper that the user can write upon. I was experimenting with self adhesive lamination sheets with limited success. These sheets are great for some things. It’s essentially a big clear plastic sticker. However, they are designed to “self seal” by attaching back-to-back with another sheet. They cling to one another around the edges where the glue meets. If you put just one onto something, the adhesion is lackluster and can easily peel up if you play with it. Not good! I searched for “permanent adhesive” sheets but those still talked about “self sealing” with another sheet in the description and reviews. Ugh! Not what I need! Then it hit me? What about good old-fashioned clear contact paper? Contact paper is forever and could hold a bowling ball to a wall! And cheap! Much cheaper than lamination sheets, and I can cut it to size easily. I think I’ll have a final demo by this weekend.
